After the outright worship of AOC by the political Left, traditional and misogynistic Dumb Blonde jokes from leftists . . . no longer have the same impact.

She may develop into a reporter worthy of her current posting. She has allowed herself to become the "dumb blonde," du jour, marketed by Fox like a box of sugary cereal.

Clearly your fascination with her body has clouded your mind. So is the point of the meme about your sexual fantasies or your hatred for an honest question?

I was raised by Rock Ribbed Republican Conservatives. My two surviving siblings are conservatives. One has left the Republican Party and is now an independent. The other does not support what passes for the GOP these days. Like Harry Truman, I just tell the truth about the current "Republicans," they think it is smearing. The Republican Party is no longer "conservative."

since you brought up Iraq

"I come to this debate, Mr. Speaker, as one at the end of 10 years in office on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, where stopping the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction was one of my top priorities. I applaud the President on focusing on this issue and on taking the lead to disarm Saddam Hussein. ... Others have talked about this threat that is posed by Saddam Hussein. Yes, he has chemical weapons, he has biological weapons, he is trying to get nuclear weapons."
-- Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D. CA) Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
-- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."
-- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."
-- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

"People can quarrel with whether we should have more troops in Afghanistan or internationalize Iraq or whatever, but it is incontestable that on the day I left office, there were unaccounted for stocks of biological and chemical weapons."
-- Ex President Bill Clinton, Jul. 22, 2003 (CNN Larry King)

In my many years of government, and based on input from my late Brother Jim, who worked for the NSA, I had never seen lies as blatant as those sold by the Bush Administration, about Iraq. In the wake of 9-11 I supported our president. It was a mistake to do so.

I don't know for sure, but there has been ample second had reporting that Dick Cheney was dispatched to the CIA to get an unprecedented pre-ordained "assessment," about WMDs. Valerie Plame and her then husband Joe Wilson were both Republicans, until she was outed by Scooter Libby in retaliation for Joe's debunking of the nuclear material from Niger-lie. The question of lying and CIA is always clouded by the legal requirement for cover stories and plausible deniability. We will never know if the Plame-Wilson affair was not to cover for another operation, for example.

President Biden has already stated the guiding policy of his administration to outlaw states or those acting illegally will be a measured and appropriate response. As much as we might hate crimes, we do not arrest people for thinking about committing them. That is a truly American trait. I am an American. I know our president will not act precipitously, based on his statements and long history.

I googled her name, when I read the fuss that some made of Biden calling her question "dumb." Most reporters have a "Headshot," or two, and some photos of them in action. She has a whole slate of professional photos stressing her looks, culminating with this one from a photo shoot at the shore. I was reminded of the William Hurt character from "Broadcast News." He was a guy with passable credentials who ascended to the anchor chair because of his looks. I was immediately disabused of any notion that she was chosen for her job because of stellar journalistic or academic credentials. It is good for her to use what she has to get what she wants. And it is an insult to all women who are serious journalists. I felt bad for all the women journalists who asked me tough questions when I was VA's Western Regional Director for Public Affairs. They know not to apply for front line jobs at Fox, if they don't have a model's body or Clairol hair.

By the way, the only superior force we might have to thousands of Russian Troops and weapons poised to attack, thousands of miles away from our forces, would be nuclear bombs. That would appear to not be a desirable option for us to exercise or offer up as a saber-rattling ploy.
