NV, AZ, NY, NH, GA all passed laws that restrict voting in some way last year. And yes, based on the last senate election, AZ and GA are considered blue states.

I feel the States should RETAIN THE POWER. This is a Republic of individual states. The power needs to remain at the state level. I feel that this administration is just knee jerking in reactions to those states changes. I dont feel it will go anywhere.

How do you feel about the need for Voting Police?

I haven’t heard about voting police. I think people shouldn’t be allowed to solicit or intimidate people at the polls. I also believe requiring ID to vote should be done and that it doesn’t disenfranchise voters since you need ID to register to vote in the first place.

Anyway, Desantis is in the middle of making a State Police Force, he commands, to make certain that polling places are following the laws. Nothing like a governor having his own police force, under the his jurisdiction and direction. That sounds republican, huh?

Well, governors already have the State National Guard at their command so they kinda already have their own law enforcement. Plus, most states have a sharif’s office and/or state police that report through the governor. I don’t know why a governor having a his own police force sounds “republican”.

Sorry but you asked if a governor having his own police force sounds Republican. You might as well compare poll watchers (or what you call the governor’s own police force) to police officers who respond to robberies, traffic accidents or mass shooters. The fact remains that governors already have their own actual police force. Adding poll watchers to National guardsmen, sharifs and state police is nothing to worry about.
