Maybe they are scared. Maybe Unions help the workers more than the corporations do.

Unpins gave us workers rights. You know, the rights the maga crowd keeps yelling about losing so they vote for anti-union reps

At least you didn't say "onions". I made the reverse mistake once. I typed "unions" when I meant "onions".

Amazon was paying Bessemer workers $2000 to not join the union. That amounts to less than $1 (96¢) a week if that worker has 40-hour weeks all year long.

So, yeah, increasing your health benefits and pay, as well as guaranteed raises that will usually account for inflation is never in the corporation’s favor.

huh? $2000 would be $1 and hour per year. $1 a week would be $52. A standard work year is 2000 hours.

And actually reflecting on it, $2000 isn’t $2000. It’s going to be taxed, so figure $1500. It’s actually 72¢.

AN HOUR.

Originally I responded it was a typo, but it wasn’t. It was just a stupid brain fart. I ran all the math 2000/52/40 = 0.96153846 and then typed “a week” like some PoliToxic schmoe.

Gotta own your mistakes.
