Everything I said is a fact, you’re taking what I hear and not listening to me entirely. Cuba has one of the lowest poverty rates IN THE DEVELOPING WORLD. Got that part? Because it’s important.
Does everyone have a chance to be the elite under capitalism? Slim chance. You are far more likely to wind up homeless than to ever enjoy billions in wealth, however. I also think you misunderstand a very simple chart I provided for you. It shows the gutting of the middle class, and how those “comfortable” (your words) folks are barely distinguishable from the working class.
The socialist countries do still have classes, because they are not totally communist. You can argue they are state capitalist, as the state controls key industries and regulates trade between them, and even allows for private property! People sell their labor to the state in the same way they do under capitalism.
This is the excellent part of capitalist countries: the lack of empathy for others and the tolerance for people to live in extreme poverty or risk their lives residing on the streets. If you plummet to the bottom of the social ladder, OBVIOUSLY it has everything to do with how stupid and lazy you are. It has nothing to do with at-will employment, rising costs, or the monopolization of private property, just a wealthy few controlling all of the resources in that society. It must be your fault. Because us free thinkers can never criticize the “free” system we live in, that allows people to starve and be homeless when there is abundance for all.
I’m not aware of people fleeing anarchism besides the bourgeoisie and fascists. But I understand those are people you want to keep in company under capitalism.
