So why would I ever become a conservative when I'm older? I want to know what's appealing about conservatism, why it promotes the best society and why I should believe in it too. Consider that I used to be a conservative, and over the years have shifted further and further left and now have a significant disdain for conservatism and enthusiastically oppose nearly everything it stands for.
