That just means 7% of those riots were violent, I assumed only like 3% were even as a conservative

What the article doesn't highlight is the fact that there were thousands and thousands of "demonstrations" included in the study, and that over 200 of them were violent. These 200+ riots, demonstrations, etc. accounted for over $2 billion in damage and dozens dead, which is why the fact that the media falls over itself to call them "peaceful" is mind-boggling.
