Which have you been longer: a christian or a furry?

I've been a hardcore Roman-Catholic since I was baptized as an infant - I've been only an active furry for only over the past year or so (I don't remember, but it's in that range). May I ask why you brought this up? It's a good question, I won't judge, but I like to know why people ask questions like these, you know?

Okay. Just thought I'd ask. It's a blessing to know that venerable Christian Furs like you exist - it brings me great hope in life that God reaches the outcasts of the world and in such a wholesome and heart-warming light that re-empowees them. It brings me plenty of good hope in this darkened latter-day age.

I've been a Baptist since 6th grade (I'm in 9th now) But I didn't become a furry until January this year.

My youth pastor/mentor knows i'm a furry, and he's supportive of me in general, but idk if he's fine with me being a furry (we don't talk about it much).

And to be honest, if anything, the Furry-Fandom actually bolstered (and continues to do so) my faith in God for the better, however odd it may seem.

It helped me in more ways than I can mentally count, actually.

And to be honest, I'm very glad that I got 'how are you' as my first question - it is often that people ask WHAT the dog is doing, but seldom ever HOW the dog is doing, am I right?

What made you become a furry?

I became a furry largely because of my inherent fascination with the concept of sentient animals in both the realms of both science and fantasy.

That is in turn mixed with the psycho-emotionally gratifying prospect of receiving much-needed kindness, compassion, wholesomeness, lovejoy, and equanimity from the Furry-Fandom during my earlier and starkly much more darker days ridden with copious amounts of depression and anxiety.

Also, Furries are just very wholesome people in general and it'd honestly be a real shame to miss out on that - same thing with being able to be myself for once unapologetically and wholesomely without fearing wrathful retribution from anyone for it.

There's obviously many more reasons to the decision of me becoming a furry that I have but can't mention due to there being so many, but these are the Top 3 that I had.

May I ask what made you a furry by any chance?

I became a furry because i seeked kindness in a time where i just started to question my gender orientation and had a huge fallout with my family so when my good friend whom i shall call victor told me how inclusive the fandom was i was sceptical but i quickly realised that i was wrong and roughly three years since than i have gained many friends in the fandom and I know that even if the rest of the world points and laugh at us we will just brush it off and carry on with a smile

I'm honestly beginning to blush! I don't claim at all to be any divinely-wrought gift or some other quasi-Messianic emissary-of-God, let alone a morally outstanding person by any means, but I guess you are definitely right on one thing.
