Do you have a link? I'd to read more of this but I haven't been able to find the quote. Also, when did Hungary stop being a sovereign nation? Where does the EU get off tellling them how to run their country?

You`re asking a lot, but briefly: the EU is a trading bloc with expansive political fingers. The British People set an example, (despite enormous pressure from the WORLD Establishment), and Brexited the whole mess. The EU are now trying to punish Great Britain, but with friends like the US, there is no going back. Victor Orban has been very outspoken about the EU, but as a net receiver of EU funds, Hungary isn`t in a hurry to leave. The Poles are in a similar position, and both are examples of the disquiet rearing its head amongst remaining EU members. In addition, the EURO is basically UNSOUND - so EURO based debt and bonds are an unsafe financial haven. `Potting Shed Pete`

So then the EU is trying to use economic power to force compliance to their belief system. Sounds like Orban has a point about being blackmailed, maybe even "quid pro quo" -ed. "Nationalist" has a very negative connotation, but I am anti-globalist. It would seem the EU has forgotten what happened to the Templars in 1307.

Look Hungary lived under the soviet boot for 50 years and suffered horribly for it . They are not rich and they are a small country they just don't want to be overrun by poor people from a alien world that share none of their values and lose their country all over again.

You can really see the difference in the size of a Malinois vs a GSD in this photo

Makes one wonder why Antithesis didn't move to some place like Greece or Belgium while Trump was in the WH? Just all reactionary questions and no action on his part perhaps.

i'll settle for Canadas's merit based immigration policy but that does not generate enough votes for gimmiedats.

Why don't you want to move to Hungary where the immigration policy is exactly what you wish it were?
2 ups, 2y,

Juxtaposition of being dumbfounded by by Antithesis telling people to move to Hungry, and then realizing its just more authoritarian psycho babble from the king of Psycho Babble he's no better than right wingnuts that tell him to move to Cuba

...and yet neither you nor thesis actually CONTRADICT the statement in any factual or philosophical way. So let's just hand you that bone: it's white supremacist.

..so what? Doesn't make it wrong.

You haven't moved to Thailand where the "ladyboys" you love so much are, so what's your point???

And thus you have defeated all my memes where I said that Thailand has it right.

So back to the Hungarian immigration policies you're sticking up for. Why don't you move there?

I recognize that people on the right often tell those on the left who bring up conditions in other countries to "go live there," and that antithesis was paralleling this behavior.

I think this is less of a left-right issue and more of a nationalist-globalist issue. Maybe Orban will eventually become a tyrant and a dictator, but for now he is securing the borders of the country he was elected to lead and fighting to protect the ideals of that country. In his words, paraphrased, he believes in democracy but opposes the hyper-liberalism of Western Europe. Unlike others who are critical the West, instead of flying airplanes into buildings and setting off car bombs in other countries, he's tending to his own house.

Why are we so critical of those who refuse to take in refugees instead of directing our outrage at those who made them refugees in the first place?

Yeah, and basically the elephant in the room is that Orban is a white supremacist politician with a sanitised platform.

No no, Orban is actually a white supremacist with a sanitized platorm. It's not like "oh, he wants the interest rates to be lower and I think it should stay steady! What can I call him to tarnish his name?" Orban's politics quite openly embrace Magyar supremacism.

He SHOULD be a supremacist for his own peoples' needs within their own borders. Anything less would be a traitor assisting in the ethnic cleansing of his own people.

I mean, I wasn't looking for you to make my point for me, but thanks. It would be much more helpful if you could explain this to Jack Ripper up there, though - he insists that I'm not actually correct when I say that people like you exist.

Hungary was completely overrun and subjugated by Muslims in the 1400's it took 100 years of war to regain their freedom they have no desire to go through that again to make Brussels and a bunch of other countries happy that have no intention of opening their borders. The EU simply wants Hungry to be a buffer for these invading hordes.

Oh aye, they had so much more freedom being ruled by Christian feudal monarchs than Muslim feudal monarchs. I can't figure out where the flaw in your logic is for the life of me.

"And the Ottomans overran many Balkan lands and behold, the Christians are still there. Magic." not so much in modern day Turkey party dude and where they are Christian today it's because they threw the Muslims out.

It absolutely is not. That's not even a bit true.

Well apparently it was, they preferred the Christian world since they rejected subjugation and forced conversion then and they reject subjugation now. Appears they have no desire to go the way other Christian populations in Muslim lands and definitely not in their own home...go figure. Strange how Christian populations disappear in Muslim lands.

Medieval serfs didn't get to reject anyone. It was Christian because the king decided they were.

That's not freedom. That's the literal opposite. The Hungarians themselves didn't get to pick anything.

And the Ottomans overran many Balkan lands and behold, the Christians are still there. Magic. How did they do that? That's amazing, it's almost as though you're completely wrong.
0 ups, 2y
Well they are picking now, and they overwhelmingly veto Muslim subjugation. But hey maybe Norway wants some more....
