why only 3 days? Is it unreasonable to ask for more than 3 days experience across ALL of imgflip?

I feel like this is just because you hate surly
But I kinda agree with you
Though your(THAT WE INSTEAD RETURN TO THE PREVIOUS LAW OF ONLY REQUIRING VOTERS TO FOLLOW THE STREAM A WEEK BEFORE THE ELECTION AND TO HAVE POSTED ANY CONTENT ANYWHERE ON IMGFLIP WITHIN 3 DAYS BEFORE THE ELECTION ) can be easily manipulated so I'd say at least two weeks and they actually have to be participating in the stream RP like having political discussions and stuff

Ok I might be open to changing it to two weeks if that makes everyone happy. No one has voted yet so I'll add that in the comments.

Don't forget actively participating in rp

Well how do you define "actively participating"?

F1Fan commented a flaw in requiring one stream post here: https://imgflip.com/i/5xh0tv

So how about this: if a user has ever voted in a previous election, followed an IP-related stream (bank, DMV, ImgflipGovernment, etc.), and posted any content anywhere on the site in the last three days (to prove they're active) then they can vote. Is that ok?

Like actually trying to have a conversation with the users at some point
We can't have 7 people follow the stream
2 weeks before then suddenly vote la for example. They have to actually seem to want to join long-term

I'm not sure how we can measure that because it would take an impractically heavy amount of digging to find evidence of a conversation happening between every user that voted. What if a conversation happened several days ago? It's impossible to enforce.

I've made enough concessions here for you already, man. And the edit I made contains requirements that you can actually measure. Plus, F1Fan's argument still applies to a "conversation" rule even if there is some magical way to enforce it: https://imgflip.com/i/5xh0tv

I mean If they're voting it's kinda pointless to check if they're active

So you're you're lenient enough to think that an account that hasn't posted in months can vote, while simultaneously being strict enough to think that there needs to be a convoluted rule requiring a conversation? I don't understand your logic here.

An inactive account could be someone's alt that never gets used except to avoid timers or rig elections.

Ohh that's what you meant
I'm pretty sure no one here really cares enough to try and risk actually using an alt to vote

Again, I don't understand how you can be simultaneously so lenient as to allow alts to vote, but also so strict that you think you think there needs to be a complex rule requiring all voters to have a conversation (which F1Fan already pointed out is extremely flawed). Your logic is giving me a headache, man.

First off
I said the people who voted should be somewhat active in the stream
I can post with an alt then ignore it till election day. But it's more work to require them to be somewhat active
And it isn't impossible to check.
Say log and fak u talked
(Log being new) fak u could then vouch for log that log was actually trying to participate in the stream government and rp.
And I don't see how you think your way keeps out alts or even makes it not worth the tim¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sorry if my logic is shit it's 6:20

"I said the people who voted should be somewhat active in the stream"

How do you measure and enforce that?

"And it isn't impossible to check."

Your suggestion that we should dig through the entire stream to see if someone once posted a comment ages ago is impossible, though.

"And I don't see how you think your way keeps out alts or even makes it not worth the tim¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

See above because your proposal makes infinitely less sense.

I'm starting to question why I made all of these changes to the vote for you just so that you can keep making these bizarre and unreasonable demands. It's starting to look clear that you will never be satisfied no matter how hard I try because this has been dragging on too long and you're frustrating me here after I've tried so hard to make this work.

1 they have to have done something in the last week
2 what I was proposing is a simple check and balance system (Say log and fak u talked
(Log being new) fak u could then vouch for log that log was actually trying to participate in the stream government and rp.)

maybe I'll propose a better version of it tomorrow when I e slept on it

Sorry I'm frustrating you just forget about all of this.
your version will work in getting rid of the DMV which I assume is your goal , so it'll work

EDIT: After consulting with Leage_of_jay I've decided to change this proposed law so that you have to follow two weeks before the election instead of one week (and this edit was made before anyone voted).

EDIT 2: Also, to vote you have to follow an IP-related stream (bank, DMV, ImgflipGovernment, etc.), and must have posedt any content anywhere on the site in the last three days (to prove you're active). And this edit was also made before anyone voted.
