We've had this conversation before: I've had great experiences with LED's and I've never looked back. They last for ages and consume about a tenth of the energy. I don't know what happened with yours but it's not representative of the typical experience people have with them at all.
I don't know if you shill for the industry, besides being a paid troll here, but absolutely no one I have ever asked gets 10,000 hours of use from a household LED bulb.
