According to the bible, everyone who has ever had a disease was sickened by god. But window-lickers still worship the entity that they think made them sick instead of the scientists and doctors who cured them.
Imagine how much more advanced society would be if the faithful had directed their 'thoughts and prayers' into something useful.
God does sovereignly ordain disease, although this does not mean that God is the cause of every disease. We still praise and pray to God even through troubling times such as disease because we know that ultimately, God is the one who cures, yet this does not discount the importance of means such as medicine.
I live for the glory of God, I deserve nothing from Him, yet He has given me the gift of eternal life when, by law, I deserve nothing but the torments of Hell. If God can be at all glorified by 10% of my paycheck, so be it.
The way we give to God isn’t the same way you think. We give to God to train us to be selfless and willing to help others in need. God doesn’t need our money but he uses tithing to help us
Why does god need your money to help you? If you can do anything then he doesn't need money. The church wants money, not god, and you're gullible enough to give it to them.
Can I also interest you in a time share? I promise, all the fees will help you.
Ypu pray to God for a cure whenever someone gets sick. Do you think it could be possible that the scientists who work to find cures for the worst of the diseases ou there are, in a way, answered prayers?
