Anti-LGBT: No.

Anti-Zionist: I’m a critic of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians, but no. The Jews have a right to a homeland.

Build the wall: All the wall does is cost money and disrupt wildlife migration patterns. It’s easily circumvented, by climbing up or digging under or going around, and most immigrants come into the country through airports anyway. So, no.

Right-wing: No.

MAGA: Actually making America great again? Sign me up. The revisionist crap that Trump and the modern Republican Party sell? No. (See, e.g.: How much scientific authorities were trusted by the general public in the 1950s, vs. right-wing populist anger against science and education today)

Pro-Brexit: It’s abundantly clear it’s been an ongoing disaster and trainwreck for Britain that could re-ignite the Troubles and cause further disintegration of the United Kingdom. No.

Pro-Life: The state has no right to intervene in what occurs inside a mother’s womb beyond the contours decided by Roe v. Wade.

Super Straight: I’m straight, but this “community” seems to be mostly about targeting LGBTQ. No.

Hate speech is free speech: Only if you want hatred to drown out higher-quality speech. So, no.

Populist: Maybe, I’m economically populist in the sense that income inequality must be addressed but cultural populism is a nay.

No fap: Lol. No. There’s nothing immoral about sex or self-pleasure; further, regular orgasms have proven scientific benefit in reducing prostate cancer risk.

Trad Cath: In other words, radical right-wing Catholicism that regards Joe Biden and even the Pope as heretics. No.

Stone Toss fan: I’ve seen enough bigoted crap on the SuperStraight stream to be a solid no.

Anti-foreign intervention: Ding ding ding we have a winner. Allied interventionism over the past 20 years has been nothing but costly, bloody, and disastrous.

Protectionist: To an extent, but it has limits. International trade should be protected so long as it’s with countries that don’t cheat.

Uses alt tech: Is Imgflip “alt tech”? If not, no.

Ban the burkha: Banning religious garb is as tyrannical as requiring it. So, no.

Pro-Capital punishment: Only for the most extreme capital crimes in which the Defendant’s guilt is in no doubt due to overwhelming evidence. Not generally, since I don’t have enough faith in our criminal justice system to reach a correct verdict every time.

Global Warming is a hoax: Lol. No. If you don’t trust “the scientists,” then just talk to farmers, fishers, vintners, foresters, park rangers, and other occupations whose livelihoods are being immediately impacted by it.

Anti China virus vax: If COVID-19 is indeed some kind of Chinese-manufacutured bioterror attack, then it stands to reason that we ought to be taking American-made vaccines to protect ourselves. Whatever happened to patriotism? So, no.

Anti-face mask: They’ve been known to hinder airborne transmission of bacteria and viruses since long before Covid. Just ask any surgeon. So, no.

Anti-feminist: The assault on abortion rights proves we aren’t done with even first- and second-wave feminism. Women also continue to be judged by harsher standards of dress, appearance, and conduct. So, no.

Anti-drug: I’m not a fan of drugs but I’m also not a fan of the “War on Drugs.”

All Lives Matter: It was conceived as a trollish anti-BLM slogan which its followers do nothing to put into practice. So, no.

2020 election was rigged: 2020 was in fact the most heavily scrutinized, litigated, and re-counted election in American history. We can be more certain of the 2020 election result than any other. Certainly more certain than the dubious results of the 2000 election. So, no.

Some farmers don’t believe in global warming. Many of them believe in miracles, pray for rain and that kind of thing. Some probably believe the earth is flat.

But, nature always has the last laugh.
