THE BIG BANG THEORY: A Short Essay
(By SimoTheFinlandized - (C) 2021 CE)
====================================
The Big Bang Theory was a theory
advanced to explain the origination
of the Universe. It states that a giant
explosion around 10 to 20 billion years
ago began the expansion of the Universe,
which still continues. Everything in the
Universe was once composed into an
exceedingly hot and compressed
singularity whose temperature exceeded
10,000,000,000 degrees. When the Universe
was about a few minutes old, its temperature
would have been 1,000,000,000 degrees.
As it cooled, nuclear reactions took place
that led to the formation of material from
the fireball consisting of 75% hydrogen
and 25% helium by mass, the composition
of the universe is congruent with such more
or less. There were local fluctuations in the
density or expansion-rate of the Universe in
some areas - slightly denser regions of gas
whose expansion-rate lagged behind the
mean value of the rest of the Universe
collapsed to form galaxies when the
Universe was around 10% of its current age.
The cosmic microwave background radiation
detected in 1965 CE is widely considered to be
residual radiation of the Big Bang explosion.
