There is a difference between trading with a group and recognizing them as a country. My family trades money for food at Whole Foods a lot that doesn't mean we think they are a country.

They were a rebellion country trying to gain independence from the US because they though Abraham Lincoln would take away there slave, they called their new nation attempt CSA (Confederate states of America) have their own military, and even have their own currency, you should have learned this in History class in school.

Until the rebellion succeeds, they are not are country. Until Britain signed the peace treaty the US wasn’t a country
