Here is a bit of trivia about a connection between Bill and Ted and Wayne's World, specifically Wayne's World 2. Bill and Ted make a big deal about their high school, San Dimas High School. It is a real high school and San Dimas is a real city in So. California.
San Dimas High School is the rival to Bonita High School in the neighboring town of La Verne. Directly across the street from Bonita High School is a Methodist Church that was used in two movies, The Graduate and Wayne's World 2 -- when they parodied the end scene from The Graduate.
How do I know this? Before Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure but after The Graduate, I graduated from Bonita High School. I had a lot of friends who graduated from San Dimas High School. I went to summer school, one summer, at San Dimas High.
The only parts of Bill and Ted that was filmed in San Dimas was exterior shots of the high school and a brief areal shot of the water park. Everything else was filmed in Arizona.
