I don't care, seems fine to me. Every single cycle people always complain about inactivity or whatever, it's nothing new.

I think we should continue to feature unrelated posts. It's not a huge problem, it keeps people from arguing so much about politics and fighting. It keeps the stream interesting and keeps us from turning into real life politicians who have no feelings and have no fun.

But the thing is, most people are blaming the government for the unrelated posts, and it’s starting to look a lot like MSMG

What we need to ask ourselves is, "do we want to be hardened politicians, or do we want to be real people that have a little fun in politics?"
Do we really need to spend every waking moment on this stream talking about politics?

If you look at a real government, it's not just entirely politics. There are the citizens who live their day to day lives the way they want thanks to their government. They don't spend their time arguing over politics, they participate in unrelated activities. If we want to consider ourselves a government, we need to also consider the stream, it's own country where people post unrelated stuff.

Interesting argument. However, this stream is specifically about politics. If we do unrelated stuff here, doesn’t it defeat the very purpose of this stream?

Which brings me back to my point, are we a government of our own stream that symbolizes a country? Or are we just here to argue and not celebrate the things we have accomplished in said politcs?

What are we going to argue about? If we want free speech, doesn't that mean we should be able to post unrelated topics?
Who really cares if we turn into another MSMG. We will be a better more civilized MSMG. An MSMG with a government. Picture that. People getting paid currency made by the stream. People voting to agree on something instead of barbaric fighting over small useless stuff.

A smaller, more tight-knit, lighthearted and organized MSMG-like stream with a government and money would be a tremendous improvement over many past incarnations of this stream.

If that’s what the Libertarian Alliance stands for, then I’m happy to take that to the voters in December.

I think the “stream ded” thing is totally overblown. A few days of no votes and some folks have acted like the sky is falling.

In reality, activity here ebbs and flows like every stream. We’re coming up on Thanksgiving here in the States and a lot of people have probably been making their plans and preparing for that.

A few days of a relatively drama-free stream is fine, really it is. Beneficial, even. Next month and election season are right around the corner. So hold your horses!

You can't get rid of unrelated posts.
As soon as we pass a law banning unrelated posts, we'll have to determine what that means.
I consider "pepe hut" and "pepe's guns and liquor" to be defacto political memes by raising interest in the pepe party.
However, Wubbzy considers them unrelated to politics since they are advertments for fictional products, (buying a meme pizza or meme gun is just buying a picture of a pizza or gun...)

But as soon as you get rid of "unrelated" posts we have to deal with the next Incognito or WN or FakeTrump2024 deciding LGBTQ speech is "unrelated" and my obviously political, satirical anime memes are "unrelated" and whoever is criticizing the powers-that-be's memes are "unrelated."
We already went over all this in the last 2 terms of Incognito and co.
