Until the Government starts charging EV drivers a mileage tax, since they aren't paying the Federal Gasoline Tax. Also, electricity will steadily get more and more expensive with the replacement of reliable, cheap, petroleum/ nuclear/ hydroelectric power with less reliable/ vastly more expensive wind and solar. How do you plan on charging your $80,000 Tesla in the middle of the resulting rolling brownouts/ blackouts (I'm looking at you, California)?
