Whole quote:

An observation from a Swedish engineer:

“The notion that a nation can run on sunshine and breezes is worse than delusional.

People might fall for the idea that we can merrily run on sunshine and breezes, alone, but with a few trillion dollars worth of mythical mega-batteries providing backup for a few minutes, when the sun sets and the wind stops blowing.

A two-megawatt windmill is made up of 260 tons of steel that required 300 tons or iron ore and 170 tons of coking coal, all mined, transported and produced by hydrocarbons.

A windmill could spin until it falls apart and never generate as much energy as was invested in building it.”

And creating coking coal is a dirty business. A local plant was rightfully shut down because they wouldn't follow reasonable environmental laws and never paid any fines when they got busted. And one person told me that shutting down then restarting that kind of plant is even messier.

And this doesn't even deal with the environmental disaster we would create replacing internal combustion engines with millions upon millions of heavy-metal batteries. Of course, what the idiotic libs on imgflip fail to realize is that their liberal benefactors have no intention of letting us common folk continue to have access to our own, personal vehicles, "green" or otherwise. By eliminating something that is cheap, and widely available, and replacing it with something that will be rare, by necessity, they will destroy the liberty that comes with mobility.

I have never understood people's inability to see the obvious- the "progressives'" desire to herd fellow human beings into massive, central ghettos, where they must use mass transit to go to the job they are assigned to, in order to support the ruling class with the opulence they require. This has been repeated over and over throughout history, and we see it today still in countries like India and China. I know it in essence makes controlling a population easier, but it is probably as simple as they are just plain evil and greedy.

It gets better - their other 'boogeyman' oil is required to make solar panels and windmill blade.

"Maybe because that's not true"

You must be the most basic of bots- very unoriginal responses.

There are robots.
There are trolls.
And then there's Octavia- Trollbot™.

Of course it's true, and it's true all over the world as we speak.
Here in the US, Democrats have effectively enslaved generations of people to Welfare by greatly limiting their options, especially via giving them a substandard education. The whole "you're a victim" and "reparations reparations reparations" is merely a part of this. But the end result has millions of people stranded in such places as I describe in the Inner Cities- held hostage primarily by their own greed, but also by their trained ignorance, and an overwhelming sense of hopelessness. They suffer from a classic case of Stockholm Syndrome, continually voting for their captors, who NEVER make good on their promises to make their lives better.
There's the reason that the largest cities in the country are "blue". It sure ain't because the Democrat Party has made those cities better- quite the opposite.

You are on the side of evil. Of course, this is largely because you yourself are evil, as you so ably demonstrate on a constant basis in this forum.
