But some people have done that, learned the hard way, and decide raising the minimum wage is their only realistic solution regardless of the overall chance of all prices going up.

Also, men are around 190% the strength of women, going by your logic I think it’s safe to say an 18% wage gap isn’t quite large enough for manual labor based jobs. Men should really be paid about 40% more than women.

Here’s an example, you’re working at a restaurant, you have two other co-workers both female, you’re male, and you and your two co-workers are setting up the tables you can carry up to four chairs at once and can carry an entire table by yourself, but your coworkers can barely carry two chairs and have to team up to lift a table. Would it be fair that you’d get paid the same amount as the two girls even though you can work twice as fast?

Ah, but in that circumstance did you both have the same starting wage? Who has more seniority me or the girls? Are these actions catalogued in any way by management? Are tips included in terms of wage compensation?

There are many variables but introducing specific legislation that would purposely discriminate a person's wage (or salary) based on their sex (or gender) would be a violation of the Civil Right's Act as it currently stands. So it would be meaningless.

What would be fair, and how it does work in most work places, is if management recognizes your work efforts exceeding expectations, then you can qualify for a raise. But that is not what I'm discussing. I'm discussing what is happening right now is that people are purposely understaffing their restaurants and making 3 people do what use to be a 7 person job. Now, in some cases, this is due to less customers - but in more reckless and severe circumstances, it's a cost saving measure. Forcing what use to be a two- or three-person job but without the proper compensation. The minimum wage already being too low to financially support the basic finances of one self, and most definitely not a family (which was always the original intent) only exacerbating an already potentially economic powder keg waiting to explode.

I find you to be a thoughtful person. I consider myself a free-thinking person. Though I am conservative, I have been a lifelong Democrat. I actually feel embarrassed over that designation. I don't think that those who have more anti-bodies in their system should ne forced to take a vaccine that is 27 times less effective than natural immunity from catching ands surviving Covid. (Israeli study of 800k people) Also, a friend of mine, one of my dearest in the world (picture attached), on the 21st of last January got the vaccine. On the 22nd, she died. I am not here to condemn the vax, but some folks should best be left to there own choices. I actually believe that if everyone catches this new variant, it will be over as we all will then have the antibodies. They should be adults and take it without the government or their workplace having to tell them to do so.

I appreciate your anecdotal evidence, but that is all it is. Anecdotal. You admit you're not a scientist, probably not a doctor, you probably will never know what was responsible for your friend's death because I don't know how it works in your state, but that information is only given to the family. Not friends. Maybe you were on her put on her notary of next of kin, but my guess is you weren't since you've drawn conclusions that imply that it was the vaccine that killed her.

I'm very sorry for your loss but using your friend in this way is counterintuitive to the facts that despite the vaccine's shortcomings, it's the best defense for those who do not have the antibodies, and even those with antibodies may potentially be unable to fight off a variant if it's stronger than the initial strain they had. That is what the data is saying.
