What "News," stations report heavily on BLM Protests but nothing about 1-6-21 Riot violence?

Is that the day that 200-people protesting the Tangerine Tyrant's Inauguration were arrested as a group? The right wing media dubbed them "J20." Two trials resulted in "Not Guilty," verdicts for about ten of them. Some 21 of them pled guilty to breaking car windows, breaking business windows and related vandalism, that caused almost $100,000 damage to private property. All charges were dropped for the vast majority of them.

They did not cause $1.5-million in damage to a historic building or cause a Joint Session of Congress to be halted, or injure 140-cops, disabling some of them for life. They did not threaten the completion of a Constitutionally required certifying of the election, potentially causing a Constitutional crisis.

Other than that, and a few other details under investigation by various law enforcement agencies and Congress, they are nothing alike. But, they did happen in the same city.

We all know what it's really about

The sanctions against Russia she helped put in place, were the main reason Putin put so many resources toward getting the Tangerine Tyrant elected. But, his efforts were for naught. The sanctions, for the most part remained. The Tangerine Tyrant turns his back on most people after they have served his purposes. Putin would do anything to get them taken off. Just this past week he asked Israel, which Russia/USSR has never treated as an ally, for help getting the US to take some of the sanctions away.

Here's my proposal: Discontinue all disinformation efforts aimed at US elections. Let the American people decide, without help from social media ads and other products from Russian disinformation sources. If he does that, we should release a few of the sanctions on banking moguls.

You know when Biden killed the Keystone pipeline OPEC said "Let's go Brandon" , so the foreign oil we are now buying is from Russia .

No American oil was to flow through the Keystone line. It was Tar Sands from Canada, flowing to Louisiana for refining and shipping of the final product overseas. None of their product was earmarked for the USA. So, the shutdown of this pipe had no effect on the purchase of Russian oil. The last time I looked the only significant importing of Russian fossil fuels was a long existing LNG line into New England. Russia is our competitor not supplier.

But, I do assign a greater deal of importance to an event designed to cancel the certification of a free and fair election than that of a neighborhood druggie tagging his gang name on my fence. You appear to want to justify the insurrection by telling us to look at lesser felonies as if they were exactly the same And, you know they are not.

Oh, but they are...just being IN DC on 1/6 at the present time could get you jacked up b y the Feds.
But the Climate Nazi's can do the same thing and nary a peep from the Gov't or from you.
Either it is against the law to destroy Gov't property and threaten Gov't employees or it isn't.

If just being there got you arrested the number taken into custody would be in the thousands, not hundreds. If you took the time to read the court filings, like I have, you would see that there is always evidence that the accused knew they were in a restricted area, as a start. Wander off the boardwalk near a Geyser at Yellowstone and you will be arrested and face similar fines.

Surely no one who ever wrote a law expected everyone who broke it to get arrested. Equal justice means that you should expect that any law you are arrested for will be equally applied to you as it is to anyone else arrested for the same law. Not all lawyers as equally talented and not all judges give the same weight to similar evidence. Not all cops see each transgression to meet the standard for arrest. That is why we have multiple appeals available to us.

I don't call them the colorful names you do. But, I do not march lockstep with the Climate Change crowd. I do think we need to decrease Global Warming. But, Gazprom funds too much of the unscientific extremism. We don't have the Rare Earths or the finances needed to transition to Solar in their timeline. We need to cut Coal and replace it with Natural Gas as quickly as possible, as we find ways of transitioning to alternatives. But, all of the anti-NG has created a worldwide shortage and increased demand for coal.
