Good Comedy. You divert someone's attention one way, then give 'em something unexpected in the opposite direction. It reminds me of what I heard Henny Youngman say when I played Grossinger's in the Catskills, "Never Raise Your Hand to a Child... it leaves your mid-section open." Here's my version:

Great Comic. Though I am not a Red Sea Pedestrian, I feel the the greatest Comics were of Hebrew Persuasion: Groucho Marx, Jack Benny, Jerry Lewis, George Burns Sid Caesar, Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, Billy Crystal, Don Rickles, Carl Reiner, Phil Silvers, Oscar Levant, Marty Allen, Henny Youngman, Gene Wilder, Gilda Radner, Alan King... and even many modern day comics: Andy Kaufman, Ben Stiller, Jerry Seinfeld, Lewis Black, Jack Black, Bill Maher, Roseanne Barr, Howard Stern... Since 1901, of the some 900 Nobel Prize winners 210 were Jewish. 13 Muslim. Who has the better sense of humor... I wonder? Who knows!

Not a problem at all. You listed the best of the best comedians we have ever had, and I love them all. I wish that today’s “Comedians” were actually funny. Then again, I wish that many of today’s musicians actually knew something about music. But I think I am now weaving myself into a “Back in My Day” meme.
