Not to be outdone, almost all (202) Republican Members of Congress voted to not hold Steve Bannon in Contempt of Congress for acts that he did not hide from the public. He refused to answer a subpoena overtly. He did not show up and refuse questions based on the Constitutional protections against self incrimination found in the Fifth Amendment. He did not show up and claim to be constrained by Presidential orders related to "Privileged conversations." He simply blew them off, as if they did not exist and have any authority to order him to testify. Since the 202 Republicans who voted today appear to think that Bannon is not bound by their authority, they must think the Congress is of little importance. They should really show us and resign en masse.
