This is basically the same as the idea of an “implicit Constitution of IMGFLIP_PRESIDENTS” I mentioned the other day. Ground rules for this roleplay that keep it as the idea of a democracy open to all on Imgflip. It’s like an Owner constitution, basically, that stays consistent even as governments change.

Proposal: Keep it really simple and focused on the basics.

1. VOTING: Elections must be free and fair and occur regularly, and there must be a peaceful transfer of power to the declared winner. Proposed changes to voter eligibility must be approved by the Owner.

2. CAMPAIGNING: The Mudslinging rule broadly permits criticism, but protects candidates from the worst kinds of personal attacks. Designed keep the roleplay fun and substantive. See: Current version of mudslinging rule.

3. CIVIL RIGHTS: Speech by minorities and/or dissenters can’t be simply throttled just because the ruling government doesn’t like it, even if it passes a law saying it can. So governments can’t try to censor or bully their way to victory. See: IG being demodded for his “unorthodox” approach to LGBTQ and mild kissing content.

4. IMGFLIP TERMS: Imgflip TOS, at a minimum, is always in effect.

Too vague.
Half the shit on here violates TOS. (Depending upon how we choose to read the "no targeting" rule.
We need to clarify the role playing element in the bill of rights or the next Incognito wannabe will simply use the bill of rights against political dissenters like Incognito is trying to use the NSFW rule as backdoor censorship of your party.

I wouldn't call restricting the right for democratically-elected official to enforce their own speech rules "civil rights".

I bet you would have though Martin Luther king jr was a terrorist if you lived in his day. Heaven knows he was ridiculed by political cartoonists everywhere.

You clearly missed the point I was trying to get across. Everyone can have their opinions, but in the end equality must be protected.

Oh, okay. I already know what rules you're gonna make.

IG's rules on saying stuff on IP:

Rule number 1: No LGBTQ+ because being gay is a sin.

And I could only IMAGINE what Firestar's contribution would be.

Rule number 2 (added by Firestar): NO ANIME, ANIME IS ALSO A SIN!!!1!!1
