MLK wasn't a member of the Republican party, neither was he a member of the Democratic party. He was critical of both parties, he even said “I don’t think the Republican Party is a party full of the almighty God, nor is the Democratic Party. They both have weaknesses. And I’m not inextricably bound to either party.”

MLK had some very leftist views, he was very critical of capitalism and called for "democratic socialism", here is a list of many quotes from him on his views of capitalism and socialism, many of which were from speeches he gave: https://mlkglobal.org/2017/11/23/martin-luther-king-on-capitalism-in-his-own-words/

Also, what Republican ideas are you referring to exactly?

Actually many liberals support capitalism. Liberals have been known to wantto raise taxes, capitalism likes raising taxes. Coincidence i think not.
