Personally, I don't care for the rule (case and point lol imgflip.com/i/5qce6m) I'm in favor of removing it. The only concern of mine is that if spam becomes so ramped that it water downs the stream but I think that should be the decision of the mods and community at that time.

You shouldn’t really need the rule to be able to take action against spam, spam is already banned by Imgflip TOS. We do allow streams to post spam at their discretion, but Imgflip Spam Policy does still apply sitewide and can still be enforced at Imgflip’s, or a Sitewide or Stream Mod’s discretion.

I always forget about spam in the TOS, thank you for bringing it up.

Things are fine as they are. I'd rather deal with some spam on the stream than have to explain to everyone how my particular brand of anti-establishment humor (posting a bunch of anime or frog or furret memes specifically because people told me not to...) is very much on topic.

I’m 100% fine with the way things are enforced (or not enforced) here with respect to that rule. I don’t mind seeing the occasional off-topic post, I think it helps lighten the mood. Spam days for special events? Also cool. Just don’t wanna see this stream overrun by dozens of Rickrolls. Like RMK said, only if it gets ridiculous.

Worth noting also there’s this stream imgflip.com/m/IP-AfterDark which is like a mini-MSMG. That’s a fun one too. :)
