He is a lot more fun that we give Him credit for!

One more thing... we should be careful not to call Him "Daddy", "Big G", "Man Upstairs" or any other title or name, however affectionate it may be, lowers Him to our level.

This is true. Another great point. We must keep Him in His place of Lordship in our hearts and in our mouths. Though our affection is great, respect must abound as well. For this respect, this acknowledgement of His awesome power, this "fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom". (Proverbs 9:10)
We would be (literally) foolish to forget this.
Let us also not forget, being with Him can be a lot of fun, too.

I recall learning about this in youth. IIRC the very man who chastised Jesus only referred to him as his teacher, instead of his Lord, thus he was possessed. We can never assume a too familiar connection with God and his only begotten Son.

I don't think Jesus would be that fun. Those in authority and in high positions have a sense and measure of grace and dignity so they cannot lower themselves to the level of children in a playground, but..., who knows.

Jesus ate and drank with tax collectors and sinners (not that He partook in their sinful activities - Matthew 9:9-13 & Hebrews 4:15), how much more could He with us both children and adults in a carnival or water park?

Good point. I doubt He will be playing with us all the time, but in all of eternity I think we will get some time for play, just as a loving parent sets time apart to play with their children. And whatever Heaven has for fun, it likely puts a water slide to shame.

I have the utmost respect and reverence for Our Loving Savior. Jesus is God, part of His Triune nature, and the part that relates to us the most, including our humor, which I believe he invented, partly to keep us sane in this insane world.

Your warning is sound. We must not bring Him down to a level of a being just a prophet or a mere man. Although He did become lowly to die for our sins, He did so to raise us up to a level near His. Without the acceptance that He is Lord, there is no reconciliation. It is only from this righteous standing He graciously gave me that I may call Him my friend. Alas, He is my best friend. He laughs and cries with me. I wholeheartedly believe we will continue to have fun together often.
