Ooh, but this is an interesting Constitutional question now…

IF IG is convicted in the impeachment trial, does RUP (as the formal winners of the last election) get to choose IG’s replacement?

OR

Does Pr1ce, the current President, who is now an HCP member, get to choose his new VP?

We’re in uncharted waters now, folks!

Well if we are to follow the example set by the US Constitution, it seems the President gets to pick their VP and Congress gets to vote on it. The one thing I’m curious about is whether Price has to keep IG on as VP if he doesn’t wish to keep him on.

It's gonna be a Post-Riot Trump-Pence relationship then.

Lol exactly. Just with roles reversed. Since the VP is being impeached this time. :)

I looked into that. Apparently, under American law a President cannot simply fire the Vice-President, since the VP was elected by the American people as well. It’s interesting because the VP is hand-selected by the President as a running-mate, but after the election, can’t be hand-removed.

Jemy told me an interesting fact about the Philippines, which is that the President and Vice-President are elected separately. And are often butting heads because of that. Imagine if here, the President/VP were RUP but RMK had won the HoC race. It’d be like that.

Of course, the RUP constitution has a lot of holes and it doesn’t really seem to cover this topic. It’s definitely uncharted waters as far as Presidents is concerned.

I am holding a Constitutional convention to discuss the options and to fix the holes left by the RUP Constitution. Would enjoy to hear your input.

Lets do this next election.

We would have to wait until after the next election anyway, since IG and his rubber stamp Congress members will just obstruct any real progress towards a stronger Constitution. I think it would be a good idea to brainstorm now, and then once the election comes and goes, we have a fully functioning Constitution that isn’t going to just be thrown out once the next election occurs.

what about the senate?

Sure, the Senate can vote on it. However, I believe it would still have to pass through Congress and then be ratified by the President in order to become law. I think waiting until after the election would be the better move anyway, since it leaves us with a lot more time to work on a much stronger Constitution anyway.

you mean MY second in command? Me and Firestar can kick it off good.
2 ups, 3y
Well, if he’d be acceptable to both RUP and the President, all the better!

But it’s all hypothetical anyway. IG won’t be convicted, regardless of the evidence. The bulk of Congresspeople are personally loyal to IG and don’t give a crap what happens here.

And yet! Impeachment is still the right thing to do.

If you're talking about the IMGFLIP_PRESIDENTS line of succession, then if I'm somehow impeached then Pollard is next in line for the Vice-Presidency. If he wants to remain HOC, then Secretary of State F1Fan would be next in line.

If you're talking about a Right Unity Party line of succession, well, there isn't one. It's a political party. And plus, even if I am somehow impeached, I would still be the leader and the Presidential nominee.

I mean, I probably would be less controversial than IG
