so I had an idea. what if mods of msmg had three different branches. and each branch was incharge of different jobs. so this way its easier for things to happen and one mod isn't having to do all teh jobs

I was thinking the three branches could be:

>MW [Mod Watch] (Incharge of approving/removing mods and promoting them to Owner)

>MA [Mod Abuse] (Making sure that moderators aren't abusing powers, and fixes anything that is abused. can also be allowed to give out a 24 hour posting ban)

>FC [Flag checks] (is responsible for approving flags or disaproving flags. they can also issue up to a one day Comment ban if needed)



these are just ideas- I want other Owners/mods to let me know what they think (also- all mods will still be incharge of image approval)

These mods would probably have the easiest but most important job. they are in charge of promoting Moderators to Owner, Taking Mods off, or giving Users without Mod Mod privileges. they may also be in charge of Doing Mod resets and sorting other Moderators into Other Branches.

It's too elaborate for MSmg's taste.

Selecting Owners shouldn't be a formal job at all. It would be encouraging nepotism and monopoly.



Everything else is fine, as long as you handpick existent Mods for specific jobs to keep things straight.



We have a history with people who don't bother to read more than 3 sentences and the system breaks down. Better keep it simple.

There would be one Owner that is in charge of this branch, and other Owners that are partially in charge, and a whole buncha Mods that are also in the branch

So they wouldn't necessarily get Owner- but The Mods can give the Owners of that branch suggestions or recommendations as to who to do what with

Ye know, we shouldn't try to create an actual system with actual premises cuz even if we can put it in place, peeps find it too complicated. We only ever do something when there's an actual problem.

Branches for the mods could exist but I think the owners should be separate since they have their own responsibilities separate from those of a mods

sadly- I doubt it would take action seeing as not many people think its a good idea...
