I can’t say that I’ve reviewed every single submission to the politics stream. Might there be confirmed communists and other far-far-Left wackadoos lurking there? Probably.
But on PoliticsTOO, communism isn’t tolerated. Communism meaning the actual definition: Seizing the means of production, posting Marx and Kim Jong-Un memes unironically, killing the bankers, parroting pro-PRC party line propaganda (including denying the Xinjiang genocide, labeling Taiwan a colonizer state, etc.).
There’s one guy who calls himself “the Imgflip Communist” — he comes to PoliticsTOO every now and then trying to do that stuff, and he doesn’t have a good time. In frustration, he once told us he doesn’t encounter the same censorship on politics stream. Interesting!
So, no, we’re not communists.
Incidentally, Facebook has a collection of groups known as “Leftbook” where actual Communists congregate to debate and posture and trash-talk AOC for being a corporatist sell-out and endlessly try to one-up one another about who is a “true” Communist, but that dynamic simply doesn’t exist anywhere here on Imgflip. Take a look around “Leftbook” sometime for a taste of what actual communism looks like.
If your own esoteric definition of “communism” happens to encompass the entire Democratic Party, well, can’t help you there. :)
So you’ll hear me talking about “fascists” more often simply because there are more of them that I run across in my daily Imgflip travels, and certainly seem to be more of them here on PRESIDENTS. All of Beez’ and my commie memes were jokes, mainly jokes aimed squarely at the fascists because commies are the one thing they can’t stand and sends them into a blind fury. Makes it easier to tell the real fascists from the cosplayers.
