Disappointed Black Guy | There was an attack on the capitol? An insurrection? No way! Whaaat! This ain't no insurrection, it's just some soyboys playing tug of war w | image tagged in disappointed black guy | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
My reaction when I first heard about it and then when I found out what really happened.
I was expecting something like from Olympus Has Fallen, or The Hunger Games. Dumb and Dumber wasn't in charge of directing the events were they? Or JJ Abrams? Like with Star Wars and GOT, I was disappointed.

The police giving his testimony should receive an honorable mention at the Emmy's, he tried so hard to make it out to be something bigger than what it was. A medieval battle, worse than Iraq, come on! Can't an event be discussed without all the theatrical exaggeration?
If one has PTSD through the roof then the events on that day might seem rough but if one is that bad then why are they a police at the capitol?
He said that the insurrectionists had military training and then he went on to say that they threatened to go get their guns to come back and kill them and that they outnumber the police. Tell me of any battle in history where one of the opposing sides arrived on the battlefield to do combat without their weapons?!? Does that sound like military tactics to you? Showing up without one's weapons?
Overall this is seeming mighty sus to me.

You're right though, it's just a bunch of clowns putting on a show.

If by weapons you mean only firearms, no. But they had plenty of other weapons. Some of the greatest battles in history have been fought without firearms.

And I'm guessing they held back on firearms because they didn't want to wind up being arrested for murder or getting themselves killed. But their intent in storming the Capitol was clear.

Had I meant "only firearms", I would have said it.
You are talking to someone who would pick up a rock or yank out a t-post to use in a fight if I had to. With that said, it is foolish to think you can fight police with laser pointers and other similar things they had on hand. K-Pop artists also face similar things at their performances, people have been burned in the audience by holding up their hand to shield the performers from the lasers. Are we to say there was a medieval battle with military tactics at their concert?
Yeah there was reports of explosives and things like that, what's next RPGs? The bottom line is they didn't have them on hand, they said they had to go back and get them, which is not military tactics.

"Some of the greatest battles in history have been fought without firearms."
I am familiar with battles fought with maces, spears, swords, arrows, and the likes. Which is why comparing the "Insurrection Day" to a medieval battle is absolute balderdash.

They had flagpoles they were using as spears, and fire extinguishers they used to club police senseless. And more besides. It was a dangerous situation, and the blame lies entirely with the insurrectionists.

Disappointed that the mob didn't get hold of Mike Pence and hang him from their scaffold?
You sound like that's what you were hoping for.

Disappointed that I didn't see how bad ass the white house security is, disappointed I didn't see a ton of snipers appear on rooftops and cap the terrorists off, disappointed that I didn't see the awesome firepower our Capitol can bring to bear, disappointed that other countries are now seeing that "f**king retarded" people can breach our Capitol, disappointed that people like you have the audacity to say it was like a medieval battle because you think a flagpole is like a spear, disappointed that the police kills a man over a karking counterfeit 20 but allows an unruly mob of soyboys to threaten politicians, beat them senseless as you said, and breach the Capitol without pumping their guts full of lead, disappointed that people like you don't realize it was orchestrated, that at least the mob was let in.

I did not want to see politicians killed. Some may be corrupt, but I do not want them to be killed by an unruly mob. F**k you for insinuating that. And I saw that scaffold they had up for display on video. How was they going to actually harm anyone without weapons. And I guarantee that toothpick lynching scaffold would have broke, it is for display. It looked flimsy and weak to me.
