As in its a joke or it’s legitimate? Everytime someone says this I tend to take it as a joke but you don’t know how others may feel about it.

Biologically there are 2 genders, male and female. Technically 3 since Intersex can count.
I say the rest is identification because you know how people say "I identify as" and not "my gender now is" and stuff like that. That's why I say the rest is just personal identification.
