So having an opinion is censoring and deleting content that relates to LGBTQ just because it offends you?

First an opening statement: I campaigned for RUP. I voted for RUP. I like RUP generally. I work with RUP all the time, on things like catching WN and the bank bill. I was appointed National Security Advisor. I think Wubbzy is one of the greatest if not the greatest Presidents. I wouldn’t mind at all if Pr1ce won a second term. None of this is about me hating RUP.

During the last campaign, IG was part of the RUP government in charge and he allowed a meme of gay men kissing to be featured next to RUP’s logo. That suggested to me that IG was beginning to be more tolerant, and was truly committed to free speech as he said. This misled me about IG’s true intentions.

Fast forward to yesterday and he censored comments featuring the exact same image. It appears he also censored very similar images by OP — perhaps others have been censored as well (we’re gathering evidence and conducting an investigation). He’s generally been marking LGBTQ content NSFW without justification, when we were assured in the past that the anti-LGBTQ bill was dead in exchange for IG receiving his mod back.

All of this appears to be coming from just one person inside the government, IG.

This isn’t the RUP government I signed up for. And that’s just the modding side of the equation.

I don’t even want to repost the image here, but IG made a disgusting meme a few days ago with the homophobic catch phrase, “God hates f*gs,” which he tried to explain as a joke. (If he’s smart he’ll delete it, but the damage has already been done.) This helped fuel an insane amount of drama over the issue last weekend. He’s been generally hostile to discussion of homosexuality. He’s been generally hostile to a lot of people lately for all sorts of reasons, but for now we’re just focused on LGBTQ.

Mod-wise *and* content-wise, IG is imposing his homophobic value system upon the stream. I’m not LGBTQ myself, but I have LGBTQ friends and family, and it’s hard to hear. Other memers here are LGBTQ. All of this impacts real people in this community in a direct way.

This gets to the last reason why acting now is imperative.

There are LGBTQ people who have already announced they’re running in the next election. Two of my running-mates for N.E.R.D. are LGBTQ. They’ve been having their announcement templates marked NSFW — and therefore stigmatized and throttled from viewers — just because they have a pride flag or the mention of a sexual orientation. If IG’s modding practices are allowed to continue, with LGBTQ people running in October, it’s tantamount to election-rigging.

Now is the time to act. We can’t very well hold an impeachment trial during an active campaign, it’s too burdensome and distracting. And the damage is already being done.

There are other impeachment counts that others here might wish to offer, for the ways IG has wronged them either as a mod or commenter. I can’t say I’ve seen everything. But that is my story.

Impeach and remove IG.

IG threatened to have me fired from the Cabinet for speaking out about this. (I’ll post those memechats.) That’s retaliation.

If he tries to censor or obstruct this investigation or intimidate witnesses in any way going forward, that’s obstruction of justice.

Okay, lemme break this down.

The retaliation is a revenge threat, you threatened an impeachment while we appointed you to the cabinet, so it’s legal.

Censorship and Homophobia are offences, I agree, but that’s only 2 strikes.

BeHapp and the rest of Congress apart from RMK will probably either stay neutral or side with IG so the trial can’t even start.

And finally, you’ve censored people for having an opinion in PoliticsTOO and have been impeached here for blackmail.

In short terms, you are annoyed at IG when you’ve censored people and been impeached yourself for blackmail.
