Where I live is very sparsely populated and very rural. I'd still have a gun rack in my pickup truck, except it really isn't very handy way back and out of reach on a truck with a double cab.

I'm glad it's not. The layperson shouldn't have access to guns. They should be heirlooms and tools used by those in the service and nothing more. Keeping guns out of the hands that don't deserve them cancels out the need to put them in the hands of those who'll need them just in case.
