Based on his contribution to the band, I would think that if there was a fifth Beatle it would have been George Martin. I've heard they were considering Billy Preston toward the end and when George left John and Paul talked about Eric Clapton, but that wouldn't work since George and Eric were good friends (and ultimately George came back). Obviously Bernie didn't work out since he demanded that The Beatles wealth be redistributed to him. :-)

Even funnier or not, I know someone who used to speak at council meetings until he was removed by the police for protesting at a council meeting. Because he obstructed one of the camera on the council, and he was in a wheelchair.
