Read up on your history. Churchill was planning to invade the Soviet Union as soon as Nazi Germany was dealt with; only reason it didn’t go through was because Churchill was voted out of office.
Didn't know that, very interesting. Patton wanted to attack too, funny coincidence that he died in a terrible "accident" shortly after VE day.

I don’t think the populations of the Allies would have tolerated another war, Britain and France’s empires were already on the brink of collapse and the Soviets already lost so many men. The US was still preoccupied with Japan. My bet is that the armies would have mutinied and some sort of armistice would have been reached.
Perhaps, but anti-communism was still a big thing even before the cold war started. And Germany and Poland is a whole lot different than invading the Soviet Union itself.
