"Anthology Trilogy"? If successful the newer Thrawn novels could be 2nd prequel trilogy, making a Thrawn Anthology Saga? | If they make the original Thrawn Trilogy into movies, the movies should be animated. That way the surviving Original Trilogy actors, who have aged, can voice act their younger, animated selves. That would be epic, the original actors voicing over their animated selves, that would be great, especially the original Thrawn trilogy, those books were great.

That's what I hear, neighbor. The original Thrawn trilogy seems to be regarded as the crown jewel of EU Legends. I mean, to Mr. Zhan's credit, his books helped inspire Lucas to make the prequels, for better or worse. I think if Mr. Filoni has his way, we're going to see Thrawn get more love in the near future.
If Disney wants to keep the fans happy and make money, they should strongly consider it.

I need to read the books, myself. Listened to a little of the first one on an audio reading on youtube. Maybe I'll start out reading the comic book versions and go from there.

PS If they make it, I hope they stick close to the original books. Oh I know they would have to tweak things in translating a book to movie format, and I wouldn't even mind if they made a few bare minimum retcons so that it's grafted to Disney Canon as much as reasonably possible-but you know, it's for the most part the original stories.

Which Thrawn trilogy, the original took place 5 years after the battle of Endor, so how would that inspire the prequels, I know Timothy Zhan has made a lot more books a lot more recently, and those are very good. And the Hand of Thrawn duology, that was good, even though it didn’t have Thrawn in it.

no no no, the original Thrawn trilogy was written in the 90s. George Lucas was inspired by the fact that somebody made good Star Wars books, to make the prequels later in the 90's/oddies. Make sense? You're right. The original Thrawn trilogy, the story, takes place 5 years after....but Thrawn wrote them in the 90's, and Lucas saw that he did that and was inspired to make the prequels, the first one coming out in 99.
