Memory lane!
Indeed during LaChancla’s term, because he had to go do homework or something and thanks to my close relationship with him at the time, he left me as an acting roleplay President for a week or two.
I never actually got mod powers here, though I specifically asked Captain_Scar for them — because we had a problem here. We needed to whack some Nazi trolls.
Because WN and M00nMan.exe were quite active back then and being obnoxious (and more importantly, genocidal), and I was arguing with and debunking them intensely almost every night, but the stream zeitgeist had not yet fully rejected them. People hadn’t yet quite woken up to the major threat they posed to this stream. “Free speech” and all that kept them protected.
What if I had actually gotten mod of this stream back then, and the ability to send their Nazi asses to hell? Would WN have given up and gone away earlier? Could we have saved ourselves some later headaches? Would the stream trajectory have turned out differently?
We’ll never know :)
