Good question. Here's my shot at a genuine answer.
What's the point of knowingly embracing leftist political propaganda if you are only going to reject it later down the line just because it turned out to be nothing more than a pack of lies? People knowlingly gulp down political propaganda BECAUSE they love being lied to as long as it validates their prejudices.
That's why such people hate conservatives . . . because conservatives always make up their own minds after examining available facts.
