New York is an extreme end of the moron spectrum.
You want a happy medium? Allow me to introduce my own state of Montana as an example. We passed a law making it illegal for the governor or local governments to mandate masks or vaccines for their jurisdiction, BUT any private or public entity can mandate masks for their own use (I.E schools, businesses, DMV's, etc). Additionally, we've got ads for vaccines and their safety going out over the radio and free shots are still of course available to anyone who wants one.
No draconian, despotic vaccine mandates, no rules saying a business owner can't mandate masks even if he wants to (or has to mandate them if he doesn't want to), nada. Just common sense and personal responsibility being put at the forefront.
