Trump was a regular citizen with imperfections BECAUSE the “professional politicians” were not doing their jobs for us any more. And IF the Dems put up a decent candidate I think Trump would have lost. Trump did more of his promises, whether you like the promises or not, than any President in modern history. And that scared the crap out of the professionals, who thought that they had blocked the public from office. Trump should have had better advisors OR listened to them about sounding off. But his blow hard statements resonated with a large number of fed up Americans who were tired of being played by the professionals.

Ummm...yeeeah...."billionaires" aren't "regular citizens" and Trump lost fair and square. And yeah, he could have had better advisors....but bear in mind that everyone who was in an advisory position was a hand-pick -and yeah, he should have paid attention to people who were infinitely better informed than himself but he didn't --which tends to shed an illumination of inadequacy on the guy who tried to fool America into believing he only picked the "best and brightest"; if you "only pick the best and brightest," why would you ignore what your picks have to say? And why would you fire them as soon as they demonstrate they're exponentially more knowledgeable than yourself on a topic? And here we are, neck-go***mn-deep in COVID a year and 8 months after the fact, Trump had his chance in 2020 and he pooched it on the Old English Bulldog level.

I had the virus last summer , along with pneumonia , Doctors said they couldn't use a ventilator because that would spread the virus in my lungs and make it worse .

Fair enough, ventilators are a last-ditch tool....now consider how long COVID's been running wild in Florida and what the odds are on there being people in last-ditch condition.

Exactly --ventilators are a last-ditch tool for COVID infections and pneumonia rates are usually a fairly steady percentage relative to hospitalizations....which tends to indicate that something's happening that's out of the ordinary in Florida...so much so that the DeSantis administration decided that acquiring more ventilators wasn't optional. Sooo...you know....when COVID infections are escalating wildly and there's a sudden jump in demand for ventilators....
