I'll have to disagree with this one:
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
- 2 Corinthians 11:13-15
While Satan and his demons generally does make a believer worry, fear, anxious, etc, that is not all that he does.
You know that the LDS tells people that if you read the Book of Mormon and you get a burning bosom, that is, you get a feeling of wonderful assurance, comfort, love, etc, then it is from God.
Muhammad, has said also that only a true prophet can produce very eloquent writing. Finally, Hitler is notorious for his hypnotic charisma.
The point of this is that we should NOT depend on our feelings to determine where to go and what is truth. The least of all is your heart. The bible says:
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
- Jeremiah 17:9
