It's the leftist version of 'redistribution of wealth'. They figure that if they give the EVIL and violent Taliban lots and lots of cutting edge U.S. weapons AND weapons technology to utilize, study, AND sell to other nations . . . they will somehow convince the Taliban to cease being so darn . . . mean.
