If you look at it close enough, you can see small details indicating to the cat going down stairs. example : The edge of the stairs have shadows that if you look closely, you can see that the the cat is walking down the stairs. Good point but if the cat is going downstairs then why does the second floor ends so abruptly? The geography of it doesn’t makes sense unless if the cat is going up, then the sudden end could be the floor. The shadow of the cat goes in front of it, suggesting the light source is from behind the cat, possibly at the ceiling.

I'm guessing it's black and white so we don't realize that's sky at the top. The staircase looks like it's outdoors and made of concrete.

But the stairs are made of stone and most likely outside because they are made of stone. The rain could have weathered the stone causing a slight diffrence in the edge which would then make sense why the floor/wall ends so quickly as IvyIeazeTheMemer said. Therfore the cat is going up stairs. Also i dout anyone would care enough to crouch down to take a photo with a cat running at them
