I hate to falsely accuse people of being alts, but some boxes are checked — shows up out of nowhere, rapidly posts a ton of actually pretty funny and clever memes, including some highly technical gifs, and seems to know the context of the stream pretty well.

Genuine new users typically post a cliche meme like a waiting skeleton and ask what the hell is going on here because to those not steeped in it, this stream is really quite confusing.

But, could just be a clever Imgflipper who was a lurker for awhile and was genuinely inspired by the Pepe Party.

This stream is way more user involvement that I usually put effort into. the Pepe party will bring laughter back into politics during this election cycle and continue with ridiculous Pepe party promotions. If and after likely/possible lose, I’ll be ditching the stream back into obscurity

This stream is a freaking drag, been through too many cycles of toxicity since the early days when it was all fun and games. I’ve left a few times because of it. Stopped by the other day and saw this government seems to have figured it out and is making things fun and, yes, Great Again. Credit where credit’s due.

This is my main account, and the only one I’m using for PRESIDENTS purposes. I have two alt accounts on Imgflip which I’ve voluntarily disclosed to anyone who has asked. I have them for both personal and Imgflip-related reasons, including the 10-stream creation limit. I wouldn’t dream of using them here after all the drama that alts have caused.

You, on the other hand, just this week chose as the Pepe Party VP candidate one RichardChill, who once used an alt on this stream (once known as GreenieMeanie, now as Abdul.Kareem). He used that alt to win a Head of Congress race, for the specific purpose of appointing positions on Congress and thereby giving himself more power.

His alting scheme was only found out later through the investigative efforts of PRESIDENTS stream members, not through any site-mod actions. That history alone should be disqualifying, IMO, unless accompanied by serious remorse, which I didn’t really see from him.

Okay. But I’m not using any alts here, and have explained why I’m not. RichardChill and his GreenieMeanie alt showed how that totally violates the spirit as well as the actual law of the roleplay.

Bringing up external Imgflip activities is actually an anti-mudslinging rule violation.

well, that applies to mudsling images. he never made a mudslinging image using external activities.

I don’t see any distinction between memes and comments in the rule.

The rule is supported by sound logic. The purpose as I see it is to limit the context of the roleplay, which is already pretty substantial as everything posted in this stream by any user dating back to its inception is theoretically a fair topic.

If *everything* across Imgflip is fair game, even stuff that has nothing to do with PRESIDENTS, then the context expands drastically. Memers will be encouraged to endlessly trawl through their opponents’ entire profiles rather than making genuine content and thinking of policies to benefit the stream.

Andy’s labeling me a hypocrite for having alts, even though they’re for totally different reasons (10 stream limit, etc.) and I don’t use them for PRESIDENTS.

Nor would I ever, since it’s clearly underhanded and after everything that’s happened here, using alts to try to gain some sort of advantage would be Pepe-sticking-a-fork-into-an-electrical-socket levels of suicidal.
