Seems like my comment somehow poofed… allow me to try again.
Unless you have a doctorate with a few extra credit hours to boot, I can assure you I have undergone more and higher education. I can also assure you, that I need none of my degrees to logically work out that if a person believes a woman can't handle a joke the same as a man can... that's sexist.
The difference between equality under the law (as it applies to men and women being equal, I assume?; that phrase might not mean what you thought it meant) and gender equality ("sameness", as you called it) is moot for the purposes of this discussion. The legality of expecting a woman to be able handle the same situations as a man are the same as general society in America... women are expected to be equal in every way, shape and form (aside from child birth; although idiots are debating that as well these days)… period. Deviating from that implies one is sexist, discriminatory and is punishable by many of the more current laws written/implemented within the past several decades.
So basically... pick a stance and stick with it. Either women are equal to men, able to fulfil any function and rise to any challenge a man can... or women are a privileged class that requires special rules that apply to only them. I don't particularly care which you pick... but waffling back and fourth between them is disingenuous, hypocritical and logically inconsistent.
I don't give a whit about McCarthy... because I'm not a Republican, I don't know the guy and he is not my representative. However, this goo-goo, gah-gah baby mentality of picking and choosing who to be mad at for some things when ignoring them when they occur within your own in-group is ridiculous. You selectively and over-dramatically act as though the words are the acts themselves then screech about them... until someone you like does it... then silence. At the very least, I can remain consistent in my core beliefs and call both sides an idiot when they are obviously being such.
I hope your next meme is about Cuomo... about the things he said AND ACTUALLY PHYSICALLY DID to women... because you seem to be a real champion of women, right? Surely this wasn't all just a politically tribal cherry picking of virtue signaling outrage... right?
