Masks are Virus Catchers

So is your mouth. Your mouth however will catch more viruses than a mask.
The vaccine is overrated but masks are not.

Your lungs catch all the fine virus laden aerosols that go right through and around the mask. I wore a mask 100% in public and at work and still got covid.

The COVID viruses actually are attached to vapors in the air. When the vapor makes contact with the mask, it stays on it. It isn’t like smoke, which is pretty much plain gas.
When you breath in, you feel suction going in your mouth, and Viruses can be in the air. If you breath in with a mask on, you’ll feel (with your hands) less air going in your mouth, bringing less viruses towards you.
And masks have proven to be useful as well

Smoke particles from a cigarette are not vapor. They are solids, microscopic solids. They could be 2 µm(microns) and smaller. Respiratory aerosols are little bitty fine drops. The virus is inside the drops, not outside. Respiratory aerosols, like smoke particles, are microscopic and can float in the air for hours. They can be from 1 µm to 8 µm. An N 95 mask allows 5% of everything 2 µm and smaller to pass through. That includes aerosols that could contain viruses. That little cheap paper/cloth mask lets things way bigger than 2 µm through. And it lets through a lot more than 5% of everything under 2 µm.

That is science.

Leftists only BELIEVE in scientific 'interpretations' that reinforce their current political narrative. For instance if it ever becomes somehow counter-WOKE in nature then these exact same leftists WOULD instantly cease believing in the 'science' of Climate Change or indeed the efficacy of their Cult of the Mask.

With them . . . science and facts are relative in nature and secondary to the adopted political narrative filtered through the coarse mesh of their political ideology and their emotions. It's . . . like . . . magic.

I believe mask are helping, but don’t say I am a democratic loser, because I am not for the vaccines.
I like to do things based on facts and not tall tales. Masks have proven to be better, however, vaccines are cruddy, bad side effects are not mentioned, it doesn’t stop delta, and too many shots are required.

Masks help very little. Most all of the US instituted mask mandates at the local level late last summer. Estimates are about 90% compliance with those mandates. The biggest surge happened VERY soon after the mandates were in place. That does not convince me masks are that effective.
My experience on what works is HCQ, Ivermectin etc. I started taking that therapy 36 hours after I tested positive. Three days later I felt 100% better.

There is absolutely NO evidence- None, zero, ziltch that masks prevent people getting virus. Please don't spread lies and rumours.

Overrated - compared to poison.. yes but my comment using such a low-bar comparison - do dictators can take your inalienable rights away?

Virus laden respiratory aerosols are about the same size as smoke. Masks leak and the holes are plenty big to allow aerosols to pass through. Even a perfectly sealed N95 mask lets 5% through.
So why are we wearing them? Sweden now has significantly less (~25%)deaths/M than USA without masks / lockdowns.
