The only light allowed is the match. If the match extinguises and you don't relight it in 10 seconds, you surround yourself with salt and stay in the circle until 3am. Unless your phone doesn't emit light somehow, you can't use it. Although even then, they say most demons in rituals don't really like it when you use technology during them

BTW If he catches you, he will make you hallucinate your worst fear, than rip out your organs, one by one. You will feel it, but you won't be able to react to it.

BTW i heard a story of a guy who fell asleep while in the salt circle, he had a dream where the Midnight Man came to him and said he would come back very soon. He woke up at 3:01am. He was very scared, and he's been sprinking a salt circle around his bed every night as he sleeps

Probably just to make it more scary when nothing is actually happening. Even then, just spread the salt around you or whatever you have to use and just sit and play on your phone. Or whatever device you have at the moment. Also you could do this at anytime since it’s always 12 am somewhere else and the challenge would immediately end as well cause its 3 am somewhere else, you see what I’m saying?
