It's not mandatory for us (yet) but many - on my post, at least - have had their poke. There are some SMs that are concerned about the FDA not lending it's approval as well as the various odd deaths that have occurred for those who were healthy but died shortly after getting vaccinated. It also doesn't help matters that COVID seems to have little effect against healthy individuals and that we've had fully vaccinated personnel contract the Delta variant.
All that said... I still advocate for the vaccination. We get stuck with so much crap, what's one more inoculation. Plus, if it goes terribly wrong, we have the benefit of having the government to monetarily pay for the screw up.
All of THAT said... I sincerely hope you're actually a service member... otherwise, using the image of those who serve to back this or that point is kinda bullshit. Much like politicians conveying empty platitudes to "our men and women in uniform", unless you've served, keep us out of your mouth. But, I assume you've served... just felt like venting.
