I'm an independent who believes the truth is somewhere in the middle therefore I follow both streams

Somewhere between truth and lies? Dunno, a lie is a lie with little value.

How do I know that the left isn't lies either?

The benefit of age is wisdom. Combine that with ethics and you have a good foundation to make your own judgments on who is lying and who is honest rather than them telling you. Be suspicious of people who claim to be honest - if you are honest your actions speak for themselves.
