It is their money! If you want to spend money on failed schools, inner cities etc, then I rather they spend it on space. I went to these schools. I know!!

No just on a failed mindset and no matter how much money you give them, they will fail. I know been there. I went to another school that had Different teaching methods geared to the individual. So number one change the mindset of failure and entitlement. If the teachers suck, using teaching methods that even suck more, why not nuke the entire system and basically start from scratch, what democrats, union teachers are doing now is criminal to inner city children. I have been there, Why vote democrat if you are hurting our children like this?

Yadda yadda yadda, I went to public school in NYC untill 7th grade, when my parents moved me with them kicking and screaming to Texas.... when I got there, they were still learning things, I had already been taught by 4th grade. Everyone thought I was the geeky smart kid since I had already done what they would do eventually by 9th or 10th grade. I was not smart, just went to school in a state that spends more money on their schools. Of course teachers in NYC made three times what Texas teachers did, we had money for many field trips over the semesters, better AV equipment, etc etc..... But hey I will admit, they had nicer football fields and uniforms in Texas. But you go on with your bad self believing what you do. If I have learned nothing over the years, I have learned you cant fix stupid. Ignorance yes, stupid no.

Space tourism is awesome. If she wants to reeeee about it that's her perogative.

Space tourism at this point is less “intrepid explorer,” more Private Yacht x10,000.

If they wanted to do something scientifically productive (and less environmentally calamitous) with their billions, they’d go the James Cameron route and plunge our uncharted depths.

The point isn't to explore space though...the point is to begin opening up space tourism as an industry. Some things are done for the fun of it. ;)

Earth absorbs more than enough emissions to where we can easily absorb such an industry into a stable net-zero environment management system. Technology will only grow better in the future, so there is no reason to expect this will become less costly both financially and environmentally.
